My team always argues but the arguments was quickly resolved. Sometimes they got of task but quickly god back to work. They have to work on team bonding a little, but other than that everything is fine.A good leader is someone who cooperates with other team members and doesn’t make the team get of task. A leader is someone who leads the team into the right path whether it’s failure or success, it’s always the right path. Can a company be a true team of equals, is not a myth because one person should not be the leader, everyone should be allowed to choose and participate in the team whether they are the CEO or not. Two of my teammates always get into a fight but I step in and the problem is quickly resolved. I am the one who is always on task and sometimes my teammates get off task so the easiest way to get them back on task is to tell them to tell them you are going to tell the teacher if they don’t work (even if you aren't going to tell the teacher anything). Some people don’t work as effectively as other people because they probably aren’t used to working constantly or they just don’t like doing work and don’t care about anything. I think that all teammates should be nice to each other and not use abusive language or anything like that because it can really hurt another teammates feelings. It is not important to be friends with all your teammates but that doesn’t mean you can be mean to your teammates, you have to be nice and cooperate with each other. Don’t compete with each other or else no work will get done and it will just create more argument. My team is starting to put things together and work together but they still get into arguments sometimes. I want everyone to be nice to each other and cooperate with each other so that we can get work done. It would be really nice if we can get our product together together fast, so that we can get ready for the showcase.
Currently, our team is working together and communicating with each other to let everyone know what is going on and what who is doing. If I would say, our team is energetic and motivated to make the product work and to make everything be done. However our group are not continuous at being productive, we get off task sometimes and don't complete our job. But we encourage each other to stay on task. A good leader is to have the ability to make the group work efficiently and make the group be successful, even if it is a terrible group.Currently, we have not established absolute leadership but we are all getting there. We need to improve on working efficiently so that everybody is determined to make the product great. Having clear leadership in the team is really needed so everybody can stay on one track and aim for one goal. A company can be a true team of equals when all are productive and walk on the same path as each other. Conflicts have been managed by debating with each other whether one idea is good or one idea is bad. At the end, the best solution will always come out. The most effective strategy to currently keep people on task i to check what they are doing every few minutes. However, they still manage to get off task. I suppose that some people are not working effectively on the team because it is that they get distracted by members from other teams too much. They will forget about their work and when they come back, they don't remember what they are doing again. Also, some people are not working effectively on the team because they decide to not do their group assigned homework and that is probably because they have a bad environment at home which their parents don't care what they do. For personality traits, personally I think that this is a very important aspect so you can choose the personalities that the group needs and everybody will be able to know who everybody is. Friend must be obtained inside a group because everyone hated each other, everybody would all be walking their own paths to do whatever they want, this leads to many visuals and nothing gets accomplished. If everybody was on the same path but competitive, it would still be horrible because since there is competition, nobody will share their ideas and without sharing ideas, there will not be a single idea that incorporates all of the good aspects of all of the different ideas. This leads to everybody yelling that their idea is better but if all ideas were put together, there would be a astonishing idea that would be better than all of the previous ideas. Sharing ideas is how humanity has progressed. Some strategies I would like to use to keep my group progressing forward is for everybody to know what each member of the group has done and what needs to be progressed on. This is so that we don't waste time saying who is doing what and what to do.
Our team right now is quite motivated at the project. We are all very determined to make the wireless charger actually work by the end of this semester. There were a couple arguments at the beginning of the project, but after that we resolved all the issues. I feel like a good leader should be able to split all the work and do a good job about it by knowing others strengths and weaknesses. In our team, our leader has a bit more “power” than everyone else. I feel like we will truly be equals when we all feel like we are all treated equally and have no rankings compared to each other, even in our minds. So far, truthfully, the conflicts have not been managed well. We usually just argue over an idea for few days then we just go back to the project on hand. I feel like in a company, there should be some very determined people and some that have a bit more knowledge of what will actually happen to reign them back. This way, we would get things done but also not have the competition be too aggressive.
Team interactions are okay, Shawn and Joshua debate on how to design the project and my team has been encouraging me to work harder. If I were to describe my team with an adjective it would be motivating because my teammates are my friends and they motivate me to work harder on my assignments and my part in the project. The thing that makes a good leader is someone who is affirmative and leads(not tells) the teams what to do. My team has been spot on or close to that definition. We have established a clear leadership with our team. Leadership is necessary but not to an extreme state. The team needs someone to to show them what to do but they also need to be equals so that they all can feel happy and that the job can be done. Conflicts have been managed quite well by our team. If a conflict between members gets heated then the people in the team calm both people down and console them by telling them that they are working well and that they should continue what they are doing. Everyone has been on task so the group is ok. Everyone in our team is friending everyone else and the personalities are important. Everyone needs a growth mindset to learn how to work well and everyone needs to be friends with everyone else. Friendship would keep all working friendly and it would make communication very easy for our project.
It is important to research the science concepts behind your product so that you know how to build your product and you know what you're doing and what you need to do to make your product the best it can be. First we had a little idea of what to do but with the research, everything became a lot more clear and easier to do and understand. Our product is probably the hardest product in the whole class so I don’t know if we'll actually be able to make a working prototype but as far as we’ve gone so far, I think we are at a good start. We are mostly busy on making the product for now and then we will start to focus more on the MVP. The one main issue if costs were not an issue for us would probably be the fact that one person in our group doesn’t know how to do anything and does nothing. We should really focus on the product we are trying to build instead of trying to modify or add things to the product we haven’t even made yet.
It is important to research the science concepts in our project early on so that we can understand the functions and what we need on the product later on. We research by either using the web or by asking parents. The research helped change our product by making us go on the right path instead go make a prototype that doesn't even work. Personally I am very confident in my project. I believe that we are able to create a working prototype that actually charges a phone. Currently, we have already created two working prototypes that light up LEDs. Some issues about how we are going to get to the working prototype level are that the iPhone's charge in a unique way in their plugs and we do not know how to modify one and also that we are struggling on making the DC/AC and AC/DC modules that transform the energy through the power coils small in size. Cost however is not an issue. THe next steps that our group will be taking ae to buy more electronical IC’s to control the voltage and current and then building a receiving module that is able to transform AC back into DC.
I feel like one of the most important things of a startup is that people know that it is possible first. In the start we kept on arguing whether we should build the wireless charger. We were very skeptical at first but after watching quite a few videos, I was finally convinced. We are very focused right now on making our prototype work. Cutting open cables and learning how electricity works. The main problem right now is that we need a soldering gun. We can achieve this. This is our top 1 priority. Right now, we need to experiment, experiment experiment.
